So, I do these elliptical workout videos every day. As long as I am not experiencing any pain from my various medical conditions. Halfway through my Tuesday workout, I started to feel pain in my abdomen. I tried to finish the workout but the pain got to be too much for me. So for the rest of the day, I kind of took things really slow. Woke up in pain the next day and didn’t do a workout, but did manage to make up some healthy snacks for the week! When Mark got home the pain was at an unbearable level and wanted to take me to the E.R., but I begged him to wait until morning in the hopes the pain would go away. I woke up in so much pain... off to the E.R. we went at 7 a.m. At that time of the morning we got right in. They did so many tests... CBC, comprehensive chem panel, lipase, urinalysis, abdominalNandi pelvis CT ekg with dye. Because of the pain, my BP was 153/108!!! It took some time to do all those tests and to also get the results. At around 9:30 or so, the doctor came in and said he wanted to get a second opinion on my scan, so we waited some more. Now during this whole time, I have not been given any pain medicines. That’s because if I had needed to have any kind of emergency surgery, it was better for me not to have any drugs on board. And yes, the pain was really awful. So finally, this second doctor comes in and talks to us. That’s when they told us the diagnosis in the title. I’ve never heard of this. Neither have any of my family members. Basically, the colon and the appendix are both inflamed. Yikes!! They prescribed antibiotics, anti inflammatories and Norco. So I have spent the last almost week trying not to move too much or too quickly. I can’t workout, I couldn’t go out this weekend to grocery shop. It’s been a long boring weekend. I’m also trying to not take too much of the Norco. Pain pills scare me, especially since I had so many last year for the brain surgery. So trying to tough it out has been rough on me. So on Saturday, after Mark got home from solo grocery shopping, we had some lunch and since I was feeling crappy, we watched some t.v. About 2 p.m. the phone rang, it was the radiologist from the hospital. He was reviewing my scans and he was concerned because he found a spot on my appendix. It’s not real big, just the size of a fingernail. But they want me to call Monday morning and make an appointment to get in this week to discuss it. So tomorrow morning I will be calling to schedule the meeting and ask my questions. For now, I am just a bit worried and scared. I have been through so much medical crap in the last year, I just don’t want to deal with anything else.
So that‘s whats happening with me and why I haven’t been doing a workout video every day. I won’t be working out until the pain goes away.
Take Care Everyone! I’ll keep you updated.
God Bless🙏
