Sharing this because we all need to hear this!
I have written several pep-talk like posts to encourage ALL of us on our weight loss journeys . What I am going to post here may make some people uncomfortable! GOOD!! That’s my goal! Once you read this and come to understand why, you might just thank me! Here goes... ONLY... yep you read that correctly...ONLY.. this is a much overused and unconsciously used word in the English language. You, me, your, spouse, your neighbors, your co-workers... and the list goes on. We all use it. But have you ever REALLY payed attention to WHY & HOW we use it? My guess is no. So let me give you something to think about.
I only lost 13.4 pounds in my first three weeks of WW Freestyle.
I cannot keep count of all the posts on this site and others that start off with or have that in the post somewhere. Do you ever wonder why we say it?
Well, we as humans are so automatically conditioned to it that we never notice! Seriously! I counted myself since Monday when I first thought of this and I racked up 114!
When we use the word only, we sabotage our accomplishments! We negate all the good progress we have worked so hard for. I could bet you that right now, you are trying to think of the last time you used it and what and how you used it!
WELL STOP USING IT! Right now! Make up your mind that no matter what you have and are losing on your journey, it is not “only.” Don’t take away from your hard earned victories and achievements. You(and me), WE are all winners here!
Stop the self sabotaging and start celebrating! You worked hard for it!
You earned it!
