How Committed AreYou?

Hi everyone! I wanted to get this posted sooner, but I was busy and absorbed planning and fixing supper for my hubby and I! Apologies! However, the boneless pork chops turned out delicious! I will share the recipe later.

Lets talk about commitment. Specifically to getting healthy. I am the kind of person who doubts herself...a lot!! I have never been one to believe in myself. Lots to do with upbringing and first marriage issues. ‘Nough said, you get what I mean.

If you are new to this blog, briefly, I am recovering from brain surgery, with complications and side effects. I also have 8 separate health issues I also deal with. (listed in a previous blog)

My commitment to my journey to health comes from many years of health problems adding up over the last 6 years or so. I literally could not walk for more than 10 minutes unless I could push a shopping cart. I was ALWAYS out of breath, always tired, always in pain somewhere in my body. The final straw was needing a wheelchair to enjoy my vacation in 2018! However, I didn’t do anything until this year. After the brain surgery and then the staphylococcus infection in my skull and recovery, I got the all clear to do exercise. But was advised that I shouldn’t do a treadmill because the “ bouncing around“ could cause an issue with my brain. So we went to an exercise equipment store and I tried an elliptical. I LOVED IT!! And so began my search for an elliptical machine that we could afford. Thank goodness for Letgo The buying and selling site online. Next came many weeks of research, on ellipticals and finding the right one! Fast forward to April we bought one and set it up in our living room. I can watch tv if I want! LOL!! Here’s where the first scary commitment comes into play! We spent our last bit of inheritance money from my mom! I was so scared, but made a promise to my husband that I would use it every day. Then came the live workout videos, again, HUGE commitment to all of you who follow me on Facebook. Then came this blog, another commitment to my subscribers. But the biggest commitment of all is the most important one... do you know what it is? The commitment to myself to get healthy and never give up! I can’t give up... my future literally depends on me getting healthy. Even more, my LIFE depends on it.

Trust me, the videos and the blog are scary for me. I’m not really an outgoing kind of person so I am really pushing the envelope doing all this. I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! I try to have a balance of information, fun, inspiration and things that I have encountered on my journey. Most of all I want anyone who watches my videos and reads this blog to know you are not alone. But the main thing is that YOU HAVE TO COMMIT TO IT. Half way or off and on won’t cut it! Every other week won’t cut it! It has to be a 100% commitment from you. I am feeling so much better than I did. Is every day a challenge...yep, is it worth it...is my life worth the effort and commitment? Hell yes!

Thanks for subscribing and following my journey to health! I hope and Pray that I can be the one to motivate and inspire you to make your own commitment. I promise it’s worth it!
